National Propane Gas Foundation Scholarships

The National Propane Gas Foundation (NPGF) Scholarship Fund provides $1,000 and $2,000 scholarships to students pursuing any course of study at two- or four-year colleges or technical, trade or vocational schools. Eligible applicants are children of employees of NPGA member companies, state propane associations, and/or PERC.

Each year, NPGF awards 100+ scholarships—and they are growing because of the generosity of the propane industry. Since 1994, the NPGF Scholarship Fund has awarded more than two million dollars in scholarships to 1500+ children of NPGA member company employees. NPGF’s fundraising efforts play a critical role in enabling them to make additional awards beyond their endowment.

The Beth Johnson Memorial Scholarship provides scholarships to dependents of propane industry employees in Kansas. Beth Johnson was the wife of Ken Johnson, longtime PMAK executive director.

Bill & Florene Wray were owners of Fairbank Equipment. The Bill and Florene Wray Memorial Scholarship is an annual $1,000 scholarship that was first awarded in the 2012-2013 academic year. This scholarship is awarded to a qualified applicant who is a dependent of an NPGA and state association member from Kansas or Nebraska.

Applications for the Beth Johnson Memorial Scholarship and the Bill & Florene Wray Memorial Scholarship can be completed online using the same application process when applying for a National Propane Gas Foundation Scholarship. NPGF will only accept online applications for scholarships. Written high school and college transcripts will still be accepted.

Applications must be completed and all required information and documents must be received by stated deadlines found on application form. Successful applicants will be notified by NPGF.
